!Pop-Sup : Yukata (You-got-a) X’mas

So I’ve been leaving hints here and there in my last two posts about something special to be shared with all of you. Well, maybe its not so much of a surprise anymore. Maybe some readers might have figured out what it could be from my first Live Thoughts review. Regardless, here’s the X’mas special reveal じゃん!じゃん!

DSC_0601 Edited.jpg

This ain’t exactly a good reveal, but I TOOK THIS PHOTO (You can’t say “Pics or it didn’t happen now!”)

Hehe, yes I’m actually in Japan, Kyushu (九州) right now! (More precisely, it has been 5 days – with 4 days of daily evening 温泉 therapy). The rest of you might not have the luxury to travel to this wonderful country at this time (family sponsorship here~ guilty aw charged) or you probably have to visit your relatives and celebrate X’mas with them (But that’s a lot of fun too, besides there will always be an opportunity to travel!), so I’ll try to bring the traditional and festive Japanese Christmas aura here to you, the you in front of your computer/smartphone/tablet screens!

Naturally I’ll start off with Food Photos, that’ll wet your tastebuds for sure!

DSC_0764 Edited.jpg

Come on, I’m not joking, this is food too.

美味しいそう見たいだよね!I actually got to try raw shrimp for the first time (which didn’t taste like much, though fresh), drink alcoholic yuzu juice for the first time (how can you guys enjoy alcohol?!?! It tastes so weird — also, I don’t drink (I mean I just did but I mean…)), and overeat because things happen when you take food for everyone else but they just end up not eating them…

Next up are the various activities that we got to participate in, in this tour group travel (Well… I wish I could do it free-n-easy… …).

There were quite a bit of shopping, mostly for food (Even X’mas gifts are also food stuffs), and a bit for their sake, and some for non-perishable souvenirs.
Most of the time we spent the day travelling in the tour bus, but this was to facilitate visiting the Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine in Fukuoka, going up and down mountains like Mt. Inasa and Mt. Aso (just kidding, you don’t casually visit an active volcano), riding with dolphins and watching puppet plays. (and more to come in the next two days…)

Find a job and start working immediately.

DSC_0213 Edited.jpg

Then order a thousand million yen worth of Tea Production equipment, because why not?

DSC_0772 Edited.jpg

Following which, asking for a protection charm, so you don’t get caught by the police.

DSC_0230 Edited.jpg

Next slack off and do a Yoga post (Ok, but in seriousness, this is a statue to commemorate and remember the A-bomb drop in Nagasaki, we stayed here for a day)

DSC_0499 Edited.jpg

Then talk to dolphins! Because why not? And try to convince their babies we are the real parents.

DSC_0951 Edited.jpg

And lastly remembering that all ducks have two legs.

DSC_0958 Edited.jpg

… … …

Well I did mention in my appreciation post I would just buy all the Spice and Wolf merch if I came back to Japan, but unfortunately the relevant stores are out of sight, and even the bookstores don’t have the complete collection of its manga… (Oh wells. Its rather fitting considering that Holo is a rare gem~).

DSC_0779 Edited.jpg

Umm… … I’m forgetting something… Oh oh right, accommodation! There must be someplace we can stay right? Or we’d end up like “ノラ者” or simply nomads.

DSC_0587 Edited.jpgDSC_0784 Edited.jpg

DSC_0024 Edited.jpg

Our apartment here. Our property. In Japan. In Kumamoto. (Nah I’m just joking again~)

The accommodations are good and comfortable. Although I’m not well rested, sleeping only 3 hours everyday and spending my sleep time editing photo, writing, reading, saving memes, getting epic photos of Touhou characters… … I kind of regret bringing my laptop, ’cause it’s killing my sleep… (Well the plane ride on the 0th day when I watched 君の膵臓を食べたい already catapulted it into disarray))

DSC_0960 Edited.jpg

Finally, to conclude this ‘surprise’ I’ll give you the sights and sceneries in HD Panoramic format of the places visited (or at least taken while not restricted to the transparent borders of the tour bus) ~~

Okay I’m kidding about the HD photos because wordpress compresses them (so they don’t just press words???).
That’s all for this X’mas Special surprise!
*It’s currently almost 3am here, when I’m publishing this. (Save me Sleep~)

See you in the next surprise!!! (Or maybe the surprise is that there won’t be another one, fufufu~)

    • It is amazing!, though it is important to follow the rules when here (‘cause they are super stringent with them :x), you’d be super impressed by their cleanliness (zero rubbish even without any bins).

There’s lots of stuff to learn from here irl in addition to the anime that we watch (yes the things one watch in anime can be used in Japan! Hehe, just be careful of knowing which things are legit and which are parody though :))
