Appreciation Post: I got a “U” grade and I’m overjoyed

Everytime I input a new bookmark in my text-file of fellow blogger reads because I really loved it, I’d have to scroll pass my backlog of links where you people nominated me for a tag or award of some kind. The most overdue one is at least 6 months old, while the latest one is (thankfully) a month old. I still have some time before I begin my journey to become a PhD, which is the abbreviated term for Permanent Head Damage. So I hope to catch up on this backlog while I still can.

So… usually people associate the grade “U” with something not so desirable, like you know… “Ungraded”? But in this case, I’m really happy to be given the U-grade (‘U’ for ‘You’)! The reason is because of the not-so-moya Moya over in the community! Thanks for the nomination and wonderful mention! You peeps in the community should be familiar by now that Moya writes lovely episodic reviews and more recently held a commentary series on Toradora with NegativePrimes! More importantly, she’s the go-to-person for anything community-related and its a lot of fun interacting with her or tagging her for anything under the sun ^^.

I think she knows by now that the author of this blog is not a ‘she’ (We’ve got Holo and Lawrence here… so that makes it an ‘Us’? Haha). Ok wait, the rules state that I’m supposed to promote her and not ourselves. *ahem* You never see any of that I just typed in this paragraph.
Also do you know Moya is as creative as she is unique? Hehe, I’m actually referring to her Pop Team Epic reviews. 😉

  • Display the award!
  • Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog. (Try and include a little bit of promotion!)
  • Answer the questions they’ve written for you!
  • Nominate 8-13 bloggers and give them three questions in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity within our blogging family!
(I’ll ask 3 questions and leave it a free-for-all for anyone to share their answers if they like to participate)

” Ask and you shall receive “

[A] Why did you choose the avatar you have?

As the manager of this blog imbued with the Spice & Wolf theme, it is only right for my avatar to be S&W related. I..It’s not like anyone coerced me to using that portrait you know? I-I still get p-paid by Lawence and Hol for doing all these wor-playthings for them. It’s very fair for all of us! Yes yes… It’s a win-win situation.

[B] Do you share your blogging experience with people you know in real life? To what extent?

I don’t actually share my blogging experience, but I do share what I’ve learnt from blogging with others (friends/strangers alike). And honestly, that is thanks to all of you amazing people on the virtual landscape!
Haha, back to the question, only my family members and whoever decides to stalk my personal facebook wall would know about my blog (I only upload event-related posts to facebook, so it’s not frequent at all).

[C] Do you think your blogger persona differs from your real life personality?

This is a definite no.
I am just as slow at joining a community if there already is one established, and just as awkward with unfamiliar people at the start. Although you can kind of see that I open up a lot more, and tend to get rather quirky (or I would call it my ‘troll’ style – its not really trolling though) once I’m sufficiently baked and ready to be served.
Eh… Did I somehow leaked some information that I’m a chicken?

” Everyone’s unique! So have a share of the π! “

Q1] Are you a ‘Pen-Pineapple’ or ‘Apple-Pen’ person?

Q2] If you could draw yourself, would you use a penpencilmarker? or paintbrush?

Q3] Choose a number between (inclusive of) 1 to 1000. Explain!

Okay, those aren’t very inspired questions haha, but hope you can have fun if you decide to play along!
Also, although I said I wouldn’t be nominating anyone with how late I am to the party, I do still want to give a couple of mentions to Alfredo whom I just re-discovered his blog because I went off radar eons ago, as well as to Aldael whose scattered thoughts left quite an impression when I read them.
Alfredo is also known for his Seiyuu spotlights of course! Which is an absolute delight to read everytime he publishes them. 🙂
And Aldael for his consistent weekly musings. Although I don’t follow through entirely for the season due to spoilers, its a very nice concise to detailed collection of thoughts on the series he’s watching (like peering at his anime records notebook). ^^

That’s all for this appreciation post!
Really appreciate the nomination!

Take care~

Aww…Tetra, I’m extremely flattered by the fact that you remember this tag and by all the kind words. >///<
And yay, you alphabetized your points like you said you would!
Fun fact: I am quite sure I'm an Apple-Pen person.

Congratulations on the award! Not a big surprise though: you deserve this one big time, as you are totally awesome, and your blog proves it.
Loved your answer for C by the way. You might not know this about me, but I am exactly the same. I always find it difficult to make contact, but once I do and I am in…I pretty much can’t stop talking…which erm..I will do know as I can’t make a comment that is as long as your post of course 😂😂

    • Haha thanks Raistlin-先生! (At this point, I’ve forgotten the japanese title I gave to each person in the community XD)
Hehe, at that point someone is gonna take a big masking tape and plaster our mouths XD
But, I’m much honoured everytime you comment on my blog, it’s a huge dose of love that works wayyy better than… umm… morphine?
Haha, you can comment as long as you like, Holo won’t stop you ^^ I think regardless of the comment length, it still can’t do justice to how kind and awesome you are as a person & blogger. 🙂

Okay…is it that day again: ” the make Raistlin blush way too much day” Because if it is ..I haven’t gotten the memo for it lol😂😂 Seriously though, thanks for the kind words…really appreciate it. I have said it countless times…it never fails to amaze me how many great people there are in this community: and yes *duh* you are one of them 😊😊

Spice and Wolf is still on my plan-to-watch list, I should really take a look at it already… 😛

Appreciate the tag! I’ll definitely take a stab at your questions soon. And I’m glad you like the Seiyuu Spotlight posts, I promise to bring those back soon since I feel really bad for not posting any for the past, like, 3-4 months 😀

    • Haha, aren’t you currently doing one in a collab with Leap? Although its more of a Love Live thing, its still Seiyuu feature nonetheless ^^
Looking forward to see your answers to the umm.. w-weird questions 😛

Congrats and thank you for your kind words!
I think I’m going to get stuck with the very first question, and others won’t be much easier. Well, thinking is a healthy sport, so thanks for that also.
